I designed and built the cabinetry for this kitchen, with cabinet boxes of Baltic birch plywood for strength and stability. The doors and drawer fronts are frame-and-panel: hardwood maple rails and stiles around Baltic birch panels. Every door and drawer has soft-close hardware.
The cabinets are painted in Benjamin Moore Advance in semi-gloss, a cabinet enamel that levels out and cures to a hard, smooth finish. Satin brass knobs and pulls warm up the pale paint, and walnut floating shelves on either side of the range hood carry that warmth up the wall.
